What have we been doing lately?!  Mostly been playing StarSiege Tribes!

This is our latest addiction.  A first person shooter game (Like Quake or Duke Nukem) but a whole different experience.  Why?  Because it is played on the internet!  And it is a TEAM sport not a DeathMatch type game.  You suit up in a variety of different armor types and try to take or defend objectives.  Some matches are like the old kids game Capture the Flag.  Some are Capture and Hold missions (the longer you hold the objective the more points you score).  Others are defend and destroy.  There is a wide variety of armor, weapons, terrain (a lot of outdoor stuff a pleasant change from being inside dungeons in other first person shooters), detection and defense equipment, and LOTS of strategy.

Our Tribe is the Strategic Alliance.   Our tribe designators are [S=A] at the beginning of our names.  Right now Val and I (Valkyrie and Aztek) are now Squad Leaders.  Val on defense, and I on offensive support and 1st level defense (C and B companies respectively).

Val and I are members of Red Company within Strategic Alliance.  I do scripting support, and am webmaster for the red company web site, and Val works on documentation for the tribe, both in addition to our usual duties as squad leaders.

We use Email and ICQ to coordinate matches, BattleCom for voice communications during a match, and can both play at the same time on our RoadRunner connected cable modem.
